It took overtime but that’s all the Lady Eagles asked for. Down by 5 with a little under a minute left in regulation the defense potential of this year’s group kicked into full force as the Lady Eagles fought for their life; And they did as they forced overtime. “The exciting take away is this team responded to adversity better then they have all year.” Said asst coach Rodney Boyd. Associate head coach John Evans was just as pleased stating “The basketball energy we had at the end was just phenomenal”. When players of the game Kenlee Likos and Sarah Daffron were asked how they felt winning against a team that’s had MCS’ number the last few years Daffron responded “It’s the best feeling ever,we played together as a team”; Likos added “It feels good to win especially since it was a close game “. Do they think the energy they played with tonight could carry over the rest of the season? Daffron says ” I think this game really helped us learn we can play through as a team”, Likos added “Definetly, it showed us how good we can play and if we keep that it mind we can win”. “Ready for my shortest interview ever?
