What do the Lady Eagles take away from playing a TSSAA power house state championship contender like Pigeon Forge? Starting Sophmore PG Maddie Albert says “It’s knowing other teams can make us better as a a team, allowing us to connect better with God throughout the game. It strengthens our relationship with him”. While it was a long night for our Lady Eagles one thing they made sure didn’t do in an exhausting, long fought battle was give up, fighting to the very end. “It’s never fun and never encouraging to take on an opponent that beats you by 60+. BUT to see the energy, positive attitude, and get better mentality from the girls after the game is very encouraging, they get it. Seeing the level athlete that WE WILL be actually competing against in a couple years gives us that realization. We’ll be ok” said coach Mubarak.

The Lady Eagles take on rival Knoxville Christian Thursday.
